Writing on animation

Writing on animation

In room 2,we have been writing on short films so far we have wrote on The Dream giver,broken - rock,paper,scissors and now Powerless. The 5 rules that we had to use in our writing short sentence and others. Here is my one I based it on the retell part of the story.

Powerless  
Have you ever wanted to create a robot , hope it succeeds?  Well this guy has. For a while anyway.


In a deep,dark forest lay an old cottage. In there lived an inventor , sleeping. Next to him was an unfinished robot with a book that put him “no process”.


A firefly passed the old cottage spying the robot,she came through the fireplace and swarmed into the chamber she powered it up,left the house controlling the invention as she lead it to her stuck friend.


The inventor woke in fright to see the robot gone. He picked up the lantern as it flicked in the darkness. He walked until a tall shadow covered the path. There it was.


The fairy flew out , as she left the robot useless. The two flew up happily and lit the forest. The inventor sighed and turned back to the house. The firefly's went and sprinkled dust onto the robot,bringing him back to the world. He knocked on the door,and the inventor couldn’t believe his eyes.    
He named him Powerless.

Food Market Day.

Market Day!
Today was the last day of our inquiry and we had excellent process from start to finish! There where cookies,chocolate,jelly,juice,brittle,sherbet,Lolly
cake,lollipops,cupcakes,brownie and more! We made lots.  

The only problem was that it was quite small , so everyone was squished up next to each other. Me and Bella . B were called : Biscuit Bandits!

We had lots of fun selling our product the total was $45.00.

Food development!

Food Process! 

In room 2, we have started an amazing inquiry of food! Our task is to make a professional food product and package it to sell on the market day. 

So far we have been trialing food products that some of the class made,and they have been successful. 

Now,we are on week 2 :Making the package by trialing lots that look nice and easy to make.

Now me and Bella.B have to decide on a package to look good on our cookies!

Calendar Art

Our Amazing Art! 
In the amazing Room 2 our art for the calendars. 
They all look awesome! When you see mine it will have all these wonderful patterns and designs. 
Those patterns are called: Zen-tangle.

We have been practicing on other short designs that we used to make our art stand out. These are the ones we learnt: Crescent moon ,Static ,Florz ,Tipple, Poke Root, Hollibrough , Mist and Zander

Geometric shapes

Geometric shapes

In room 2, we had been creating these awesome shapes.We mostly posted the star on it mine is awesome but before I show it,I will say some more. What you need to make one: 
Protractor & Ruler 
Pencil & Rubber

The diagonal lines are the most important because they are the one thing that you start off with. Also finish off with. The Shapes usually turn out like a pretty star! Some other people have done two shapes.At first,I didn't understand so the first one I did was really wrong.Then Mr Kinsey said to do it on the other page and it worked! Yay! We needed to use protractors (half circles). We measured as 60 degrees each line except, I was not sure, so me and Mr Kinsey worked it out and we got to work out the degrees and he said each line was 60 degrees. Here is mine.

Strawberry research

Strawberries!

In Room 2 we have been presenting some awesome strawberry research projects. At the first stage we were planning to go to Scott's Strawberry Farm. We were sorted into car groups and my dad was coming so we went in his car. We had clipboards with our question we did on our shared doc with the whole class.My group (Emelia, Bella W and me) have not shared what we did but I hope it goes well because we did a play and showed art so its like its all stuck together into a perfect presentation kind of play! 

Eva and Hettie. S did very well on the clay. Eva did a strawberry garden out of clay and it was so awesome! Hettie did a giant strawberry and I couldn't even do what they did. Their strawberry homework or inquiry were very very cool! 

That strawberry homework I would say is the best kind we have ever done! (so far!) .

Worm explanation data disks

Worm data disks
In room 2 we have been creating awesome data disks. Before we 
made then we had to create a worm explanation.It was going to be 
set into paragraphs. The things that we wrote were all our information we found on our worms.We once created a Ecosystem in a bottle and we could put in worms that we found from the gardens but we didn't not mess up Mr Grey or Mr Pete's garden ( hopefully!). Here is mine (I hope you like it!)


Also I bet others are really AWESOME as well!!!

Designing and creating our wonderful gardens

In inquiry we have just done the best awesome thing in the world,guess...........We get to create our own gardens YAY!!!
From the Yates website for getting the seeds to plant an actual thing, you didn't have to but you did have to create the garden plan it includes: Heading,measurements,pictures and information (I included people!)

Starry Night Art

In room 2 we have created some amazing art based on Vincent van gogh's starry night.We used a technique called double-loading it is like mixing colors together but instead you just dip in one color and dip in another and then start painting! (sometimes I had too much of one color).After I finished my art I had to do the chalk over again so that you could see it.We didn't need to paint the house we cut them out with paper.
Here is my painting the biggest dot is the sun or moon and others are the stars.You can also see the paper houses.

My egg - Ella Williams

Last week my class were becoming egg parents yay! My eggs name was Ella she lived in a cozy bed and very fluffy.She has one side of her sleeping and the other side happy and awake!Some eggs didn't because they just put hair and didn't care!But sadly other eggs didn't survive because they got dropped (by accident!) This is Ella the egg-

She meet two people-Eggy Minaj and lily,they had great egg houses!She said she loved our school and its the best ever!

My quick write -The awesome dive

Quick write story

In writing we used a photo which show a person that was about to dive into the water and it was set in Auckland because you could see the sky tower.It was a quick write so you didn't have to write a BIG AND HUGE story just like about if the person was going to be happy in the or he was sad so it was like you could control the character.Here is the photo-

My story was about the person having alone time and being free.  
I made him being a happy person and really,really wants to swim.
This is my story-
The awesome dive!  

Hiking up the trail out of breath,reaching the sunset gloom.The sun goes down to rest and the moon takes over leaving the day into the night.The water changes.The moonlight reflects like a torch in the ocean.''Ahh, Auckland is the best place to relax,'' I sighed. All alone I was feeling pleased with myself just being with no one else except….me.The day grew dark and cold but I didn't care.

I looked at the sky tower then I started looking below the dark blue sea,seeing white strikes through the place of nowhere. I can feel it. Sliding across the wharf were my feet leading me into the air. My hands curved like a dolphin fin,ready to spike out the water stopping me from going fast though it.I leaned and…….WHOOSH! I zoom into the water like a gannet catching its prey. Soaking wet I go out and do it again and again and again until I get out of breath.


I jump out and finally lay down on the grass counting the stars and making shapes from them.
I think about what I will do tomorrow. Its very hard to think what I could do. Then suddenly I have an idea.I will do what I did yesterday,Brilliant!That was still such an easy idea. Oh well I just love swimming!

My Writing: The Game

My Writing
In writing we started using inspiration from a poem called ''foul shot'' it was based on sport.You could chose any sport and show not tell. Mrs Cameron said to use strong action verbs,capital letters on a new line each sentence and necessary words.Here is mine I used mostly some of what Mrs Cameron said.

The game.

In center ready to continue game,
as running spots the time 3-0 on scoreboard.
Rubbing hands together to get grip on the ball.
Running to get the pass,
Stamp my foot on the floor
Into position
Aiming at the hoop.
Getting eyes at the net
Looking a little bit up,
Lifting the ball to meet.                             
Brain fizzing
Wanting to get one more point
Just as I'm ready,
Stumbles,  
Crowd gasps
The ball slips.
Just getting my hands back on the ball.
Foot stuck in mud
Swirls into place
doing It over again,
Lifting feet into the air.    

The ball
Rolls,
Leans,
Balances,
Stops

And then    
And then………….


Numbers change to 4-0.

River testing 

At camp we studied on testing a river we used a tube that showed if the river was not dirty or was dirty. You moved a magnet forwards or backwards to make it work.This info graphic shows what you had to do ,well not like mine though this is a example 
                          
You needed to add information that you learnt about river testing,I did draw a drain that lead into the river because It would tell you whatever rubbish you leave on the ground any drains lead into a river and rubbish can fit through drains  pollute,clog and stink up the river .

There's probably something you have learnt.
